Polyrhythmic Flam Rudiments

This lesson is to be used in conjunction with the “Polyrhythm Chains” rhythm pack available in the SYNKD store.

This lesson is focused on developing both hand dexterity in flam rudiments and

polyrhythmic awareness. Every chain in the pack is covered in this lesson.

The main rudiments that we are using in this lesson are:

• Flam Taps

• Flam Accents

• Swiss Triplets

• Flamadiddles

Example 1 uses flamadiddle-diddles inside the 2 over 3 polyrhythm.

Example 2 uses flam taps in a 3 over 2 polyrhythm.

Example 3 uses flamadiddles in a 3 over 4 polyrhythm.

Example 4 uses both flam accents and swiss triplets in a 4 over 3 polyrhythm.

Example 5 uses flam taps inside a 5 over 2 polyrhythm.

Example 6 uses both flam accents and swiss triplets in a 4 over 3 polyrhythm.

Example 7 uses flamadiddles in a 5 over 4 polyrhythm.

Example 8 uses flam taps inside a 7 over 2 polyrhythm

Example 9 uses both flam accents and swiss triplets in a 7 over 3 polyrhythm.

Example 10 uses flamadiddles in a 7 over 4 polyrhythm.
