Rhythmic Integrity #5 | Pad Exercise
Can you maintain the accent pattern when the subdivision drops out? This exercise is a fun (and challenging!) one to practice along with SYNKD. The first half is in unison and then the training wheels come off for the second have and you have to maintain the subdivision while aligning the accents with the SYNKD sequence.

Time Signature Transitions #4 | Pad Exercise
The exercises are getting more and more challenging! This particular exercise features alternating 4/4 and 15/16 measures with paradiddles and hertas. Each measure has and additional herta and then they’re removed one at a time. But don’t get tripped up by that missing 16th note every other measure- those 15/16 measures are a doozy!

Time Signature Transition #3 | Pad Exercise
Last week we experimented with different subdivisions while maintaining a 3:2 clave. This exercise is designed to develop the ability to embellish a sticking pattern across two time signatures. We'll be maintaining a 3:2 clave accent pattern in all 4/4 bars with a continuously modified version in the 7/8 bars. The exercise is to be played in unison with the SYNKD rhythm chain (available for free download below).
